I love what I do to make a living. I do it 8 hours a day.
I work for a local printing company. We have all types of personalities in the company that I work for. We have the comics and we have some very serious people. We also have some people that live on the edge. Every day is a new day - an exciting new day with some of them. Sometimes the work is monotonous, so I daydream.
I think of the community in which I live. I think that not everyone is as lucky as I am. I have a nice home and a steady income. I think of the people that need to go to the local Food Pantry to get their weekly food and supplies. I am healthy enough to have the energy to help with Food Drives to encourage people to donate what they can to help people that do not have as much. I love the feeling that I get when someone brings an entire bag of food that they purchased just to donate to the food drive. My community is caring, thoughtful and very generous. I have never seen such good-hearted people in all my life.

My Rotary friends have placed a "basket" of new books that we restock weekly at the local Soup Kitchen. I love to watch the faces of the children when they pick out a new book to read. Some of them have never had the chance to lose themselves in a good book.
The feeling of warmth that I get when an elderly gentleman finishes his dinner and comes up to me and says "Thank You, I was very hungry" This is what life is all about! It's about Giving Back.

Suddenly, the phone on my desk rings and brings me back to reality. A customer wants to reorder Amber Alert brochures that I designed for them months before. All of a sudden I realize, the world is not such a safe place for children.
