Festive Fall Events at the Clinton Historical Society

October Events at the Clinton Historical Society

Now that there's a chill in the air and the leaves are just begnining to change, it's time to enjoy all that this season has to offer. With Fall in mind, the Clinton Historical Society has planned two "not to be missed" events for October. On Saturday, October 1st, CHS will host a Bluegrass and Ukulele concert inside our historic 1700 Colonial house, lovingly referred to as Old Brick. Local musicans Paul Neri and his band Ragweed together with Jim and Liz Beloff on Ukulele will perform their unique blend of music from 7:00 to 9:00. Homebaked goods, tea and coffee will be served and guests are welcome to bring their own beverage and snacks. Tickets are $18.00 and can be reserved by calling Claudia at (860) 669-7814. Next on the CHS calender is our annual, and very popular, Halloween inspired Ghost Walk to take place on Thursday evening, October 20th . This year we'll be taking a lantern led walk from OB to the Indian River Cemetery for ghostly stories and a look at historic gravesites. Two tours will be offered beginning at 6:30 and 7:00. A $10.00 fee is requested on the day of the event and reservations can be made by calling (860) 669-7814. Both events are fundraisers for the Clinton Historical Society. Hope to see you at Old Brick! Happy Fall!
