Pierson School Students visit Clinton Historical Society

Corn grinding, tours of the historic 1750 "Old Brick", nibbling edible herbs in the kitchen garden and mapping Clinton streets. A fun, educational, hands on lesson of Clinton's history was enjoyed by the Pierson School 4th grade classes at the Clinton Historical Society today. Society volunteers look forward to this annual program that brings students, teachers and parents to the CHS campus each spring. Volunteers and board members from the society's library, garden, tool museum and Old Brick spent the day sharing stories about their area of expertise to eager students.

Weather permitting. a second group of 4th graders will visit the campus tomorrow. This Friday, June 14th, Pierson students and parents are invited to visit CHS for a "Revisit" from 5:30 to 7:30 .At that time students will have an opportunity to be a docent for the evening, sharing their new found knowledge of Clinton's history with family and friends.
