Watch the Winter Olympics like a Champion with Comcast

Beginning February 6, the Winter Games from Sochi are expected to become the most technologically advanced viewing experience for any Winter Olympic Games. But what does this really mean for Connecticut viewers?

For Xfinity TV customers in Connecticut it means the ability to watch every moment of Olympics action across multiple platforms and in more ways than ever before. Whether you choose to watch downhill at a desk, luge during lunch, curling in a coffee shop or figure skating in the family room, Xfinity will give you access to every Olympic moment anytime, anywhere, on any device. Here’s how:

Watch at Home

You want to watch the hockey game happening this afternoon but not airing on TV until prime time. In addition to NBC’s network broadcasts of the games, for the first time ever customers will also be able to access all 1,000 hours of NBC’s live streaming content on the biggest screen in the house through the NBC Sports Live Extra app on Comcast’s X1 Platform. You can also use the X1 Sports app during the games to keep up with medal counts, search sports, and easily tune in to live coverage and Xfinity On Demand content.

Your family is watching a favorite TV show while you want to catch the luge. With your computer or mobile device you’ll be automatically logged in to NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports Live Extra app while you’re in your home so that you can quickly enjoy the games on any device.

You’re a gold medal junkie and you want to see all the award-winning action. Access the “Gold Zone” on the X1 Platform and NBC Sports Live Extra app to see Olympic events when a medal is about to be awarded.

According to Twitter, something big just happened on the Sochi slopes – use the SEEiT link in your Twitter feed to live tune your TV, set your DVR or even play some content on your mobile device.

Watch on the Go

You’re in the office and want to watch figure skating live. Use your Comcast ID and password to sign into Xfinity.com/NBCOlympics or NBCOlympics.com at your computer, or sign into the Xfinity TV Go app on your mobile device to seamlessly access content from the NBC Sports Live Extra app.

You’re at a coffee shop or hair salon and you want to check in on the snowboarding competition. Log in to one of our free Xfinity WiFi hotspots in Connecticut, opened up for the duration of the Winter Olympics (February 6 - 23) to allow all fans to enjoy the full streaming experience on the go. To access Xfinity WiFi, look for the “xfinitywifi” SSID on a wireless device and follow the prompts to begin a WiFi session. Customers can sign in with their Comcast ID and password, while non-customers will be directed to a “non-customer” page to get access to the complimentary session.

We can’t wait to root for our Connecticut athletes and the rest of Team USA as they compete in Sochi. With the games still a few days away, Connecticut customers can get started by figuring out their Comcast ID and password at MyComcastID.com, and exploring Sochi news, athlete profiles and schedules at Xfinity.com/NBCOlympics.
