Griswold Inn Meet & Greet Leading Lt Governor Candidate Penny Bacchiochi

Hartford, CT, April 24, 2014– Penny Bacchiochi, Connecticut House Republican Caucus Chairwoman since 2008 and leading candidate for Lieutenant Governor, will share her vision for a fiscally vibrant future for our state and for the families who call it home on Thursday, May 8th, from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, at The Griswold Inn, 36 Main Street in Essex. The public is encouraged to attend to learn how Penny’s multi-pronged plan for Connecticut will return our state to its previously enviable position as one of the top places in the country to live and work.

Penny Bacchiochi has demonstrated unwavering leadership on Connecticut’s budgetary woes, calling Governor Malloy’s most recent proposal, “…irresponsible, reckless and an insult to Connecticut’s taxpayers.”  Penny fought against the 2011 state budget, which levied the largest tax increase in state history at the same time our residents faced record levels of unemployment and home foreclosure.

“The Lieutenant Governor’s race is critically important as that nominee has the potential to deliver new votes to the party…Penny Bacchiochi will add vigor and diversity to our ticket…She is a fiscally conservative, hardworking, and enormously qualified candidate…. Penny is the strongest candidate entering the Republican Convention on May 16th, and I am proud to endorse her for Connecticut’s next Lieutenant Governor.”  Larry Cafero, CT House GOP Leader
