Stop & Shop Removes Calico Bean Salad From Shelf

The manufacturer has recalled the product because of possible listeria contamination.

Stop & Shop has stopped selling its Calico Bean Salad, which is sold at the salad bar, after a voluntary recall by its manufacturer because of possible listeria contamination.

Costa Fruit & Produce announced Wednesday that it was recalling the product because of the possible health risks, although no illnesses have been reported.

Stop & Shop has removed the Calico Bean Salad from its stores and said customers who purchased the product between July 18 and July 26 should discard any unused portions and bring their receipt to the store for a full refund.

We are waiting for the paving contractor to start reclaiming and milling the road in preperation for new asphalt. The catchbasin tops will be installed just prior to repaving when the milling and reclaiming work is completed.
