Coming Soon! The Clinton Business Expo

Don't miss out on this great opportunity to meet your neighborhood businesses at the Clinton Chamber of Commerce's 22nd Annual Business Expo held March 23.

Every year there's something new and exciting at the Clinton Chamber of Commerce's Business Expo and this year, its 22nd year, is no exception.

There are door prizes, snacks and lunch, give-aways, prizes, live animals and this year, a strolling magician.  And plenty of local businesses, too!

The Business Expo is designed to promote business-to-community relations, said Clinton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ellen Cavanagh.

"The Expo provides the opportunity for the community to see and meet the local business owners," said Cavanagh. "Not every business in town is visible on Main Street."

The event is free to the public to attend and takes place Saturday, March 23 from 9:30am to 3pm at Andrews Memorial Town Hall.

Upstairs and downstairs, local businesses will display their wares and services. Non-profit organizations will set up their tables and booths in the hallways.

"It's a great event for the whole family," added Cavanagh.

Returning for a second year is the "Passport to the Expo," which proved successful last year, said Cavanagh.

Upon their entrance, attendees receive a passbook which lists every Expo vendor.

"Guests go to each booth and get a mark in their book from that business," said Cavanagh. At the end of the Expo, completed passbooks are entered in a drawing. There are many great door prizes to win, she added.

This year, Bob Hale (who moonlights as the principal of Westbrook High School) will be strolling through the event offering up his magic tricks. Hale's appearance is being sponsored by the Pumpkin Patch Preschool and Childcare Center.

In addition, live animals from Hammonasset Meigs Point Nature Center will be on display.  That event is sponsored by Shoreline Animal Hospital.

The Expo is sponsored by Aetna.
