Lisa and Jeff Bailey own the year-old . The two have a knowledge of and passion for sweets, candies and confections. The Baileys always wanted to open a candy shop with a different kind of experience.
How long has been in business: We have been in business just over a year.
How did get its name: CLO got its name after a lot of thinking and realizing "we have something for everyone" starting at a low price.
History of the business: Our business really has no history other than I always wanted to do something fun and not so stressful.
How many family members are in the business: Jeff and I are the only members of the business.
What do you sell and what services to you offer: We sell everything from penny candy to fine chocolate and truffles. We also sell the old time candy favorites such as Sugar Daddies, rock candy and Pop Rocks. Our services include local delivery, party bags for birthdays and baskets.
What is in high demand these days? The highest demand is obviously chocolates and truffles because of Valentines Day which is our biggest holiday.
What makes Candy Lovers Outlet unique: We are unique in a sense that we offer free candy rewards to all L & J Salon adults. If they get a haircut, or any other service they get a punch card that they can use with money off on candy sold here.
What do you like best about town: Its shoreline and the people.
What do you least like about town: It's too quiet during the winter months.
Fondest memory of town: Our fondest memory is getting married at the Clinton Beach.
