You Can Eat & Read At This Event! (with video)

HCH Library's Annual "Edible Books" Event Was A Delicious Success!

There were cupcakes, candies, cakes, pies and cookies - and lots of little readers ready to get their hands on a piece of one of them at the April 13 "Edible Books" event held at the Henry Carter Hull Library.

It was a smashing success this year with many creative entries from books such as "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," "Diary of a Whimpy Kid," "Goldilicious," and Amelia Bedelia."

Moms, dads, kids, grandparents and adults of all ages admired the very creative creations. After a drawing of a "winner" (they were all winners) the pies and cakes were cut and everyone enjoyed a little treat.

The winner of the drawing was Gianna Strunjo for "Toy Story" who won a gift of a basket of handmade chocolates from library employee Cindy Maucione.

All in all, it was a yummy event!
