This Weekend: Breakfast with Santa, "Hansel and Gretel"

Don't miss the Grinch at R.J. Julia, the Madison ABC holiday concert and more!

 

We know you have a lot to do these days between trimming the tree, baking cookies and scouring the stores for holiday gifts. But yes, as usual, we have more craziness to add to your already lengthy to-do list. So stop writing out those holiday cards and take a second to amend your busy weekend schedule to include some of these local happenings. Here’s the lowdown on what’s going on this weekend:

CLINTON

SATURDAY:

  • : Join Cub Scout Pack 7 (and Santa) at the from 8 to 11 a.m. for breakfast! Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for kids 10 and under.
  • : Show will be held at 2 p.m. at town hall. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids.
  • : Bus leaves for New York City at 8 a.m. from the Clinton commuter lot on Route 81 and return trip leaves the city at 6 p.m.

ONGOING EVENTS:

  • : Toy collection runs through Friday, Dec. 16.
  • : Help the Morgan Interact Club collect clothing, toys and non-perishable food items. Boxes for donation are located at all four schools.
  • : Bring your unwrapped toys to the Clinton Police Headquarters though Monday, Dec. 19.
  • : Stop by the Management Office at Clinton Crossing to pick up a child's letter to Santa, provided by Clinton Social Services. Program runs through Monday, Dec. 19.
  • : Don’t miss the carolers on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. until Christmas!

 

MADISON

THURSDAY:

  • : Show runs Thursday through Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. at the high school. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the DHHS main office or at R.J. Julia for $10 or can be purchased at the door for $15.
  • : Jim Shepley Band at 9:30 p.m.

FRIDAY:

  • : Anthem Reggae at 9:30 p.m.

SATURDAY:

  • : Have breakfast and meet Santa at Circle Nursery School from 8 to 11 a.m. Cost is $5 per person.
  • : Stop by the bookstore between 2 and 4 p.m. to meet everyone’s favorite holiday villain! Readings of How the Grinch Stole Christmas will be at 2 and 3 p.m.
  • : The Swear author will visit R.J. Julia for a book reading, signing and Q&A session at 6 p.m.
  • : The Syndicate at 9:30 p.m.

SUNDAY:

  • : Sale will benefit the Social Justice Fund and will be open from 9 a.m. to noon in the Temple Beth Tikvah library.
  • : Support The Country School’s class of 2012! Fundraiser will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the school. Tickets are $20 each.
  • : Support the Scranton Library at the Friends’ event from 2 to 4 p.m. in the community room. Enjoy cider and a little holiday shopping!
  • : Concert will be held at 4 p.m. at the First Congregational Church. There is no cost for admission, but free-will donations will be accepted to support the Madison ABC program.

ONGOING EVENTS:
