The Amazing Race, Celebrity Apprentice, Shameless

by Elissa Bass

The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business, 8 p.m., CBS

Don’t forget that basketball is now messing with the schedule, so set those DVRs accordingly. I have to say I was pleased to see the PomPoms take their leave, as I was never a fan, but I give them props for soldiering on through the end. There were some great moments in this ep – Kent U-Turning the Poms right in front of their faces, the basketball game, the dinosaur building challenge, when Gary hollered “Mallory!” in a panic and she was standing right next to him. Tonight, we journey to Kolkata (nee Calcutta), India, where we will have more traffic issues.

Celebrity Apprentice, 9 p.m., NBC

Ooo, that Dionne Warwick is a witch. A Witch! Heck, she’s a W.I.T.C.H. She makes Star Jones look like a humanitarian. Last week’s episode had highs and lows. For me, the best part was when Gary Busey said that Marlee Matlin had diagnosed his deafness and gotten him hearing aids, and it turned out ol’ Bus wasn’t crazy – he was deaf!!! Still-super-looking Niki Taylor offered herself up to Trump for termination, saying it was her responsibility that her team lost, but I think she just wanted to go home and eat small pieces of organic lettuce and speak in quiet and respectful tones. Tonight, they film a commercial.

Shameless, 10 p.m., Showtime

It is already the season finale. I will miss this show terribly, as it made me laugh, cry, cringe and cover my eyes every single week. It is one of the few shows I actually watch live (in part because there are no commercials, true). The good news is, this is ending and Nurse Jackie is returning!
