Renowned Russian Pianist Coming to Clinton

Free tickets are available through the George Flynn Classical Concerts series for this March 24 concert.

 

For the fourth program of its 2012/2013 season, The George Flynn Classical Concerts Series is proud to present the internationally renowned Russian pianist, Ekaterina Derzhavina.

Acclaimed in Europe as one of the finest pianists of her generation, Derzhavina started playing the piano at the age of 6. In 1992 she won First Prize at the "J.S.Bach" International Piano Competition in Germany. Since 2003 she has been a professor at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Derzhavina has also given regular concerts and master-classes in Germany, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Japan and Russia.

In 1996 Arte Nova Classics released her disc with the Goldberg-variations by Bach, which received the 1999 “Choc du Monde de la Musique” award in Paris. In February 2013 the German label “Profil” released her 9 CD-set of the complete Piano Sonatas by Josef Haydn.

The Sunday, March 24th concert will be held at 4pm at the recently renovated Andrews Memorial Town Hall in Clinton, well known for its excellent acoustics.

Ticket Information:

Tickets for the George Flynn Classical Concerts are available free of charge to residents of the town of Clinton, CT. Free tickets are also open for non-residents when additional seating is available. Tickets will be issued to Clinton residents one month before each concert, no tickets will be issued prior to this period. A maximum of FOUR tickets can be requested at a time.
