Marriage Ref, Falling Skies, Law & Order: Criminal Intent

TV Tips For June 26

The Marriage Ref, 10 p.m., NBC

Really? Really NBC? It’s back? I found this “reality” show so tedious last year that I quit after the first two episodes, but I guess it did well enough for the network to bring it back in the dog days of summer. Tonight, “A woman is frustrated with her husband's obsession with growing giant pumpkins; a man questions the length of his mother-in-law's visits; celebrity panelists Ricky Gervais, Julianne Moore and Jerry Seinfeld.”

Falling Skies, 10 p.m., TNT

So, my TiVo is still down. My WiFi is still down. I called my buddy Lou at Lou’s Computers and did what he told me to do and even that didn’t work, so now I need to go buy a new router and honestly, I just don’t have the energy right now. I know this tale of woe has nothing to do with this Noah Wylie-led alien invasion drama, except that I have lost the ability – after 9 years with a DVR – to watch real TV. This whole concept of a show starting at a specific time is so alien to me. I just need a hug.

The last episode. Farewell L&O:CI. You have been dark, and tricky, and upsetting and awesome. I will miss you terribly, although it is true that I can literally watch your reruns almost around the clock.
