Great Escape: Tidewater Inn

Valentine's Day Packages at the Shoreline Inn Will Have You Packing Your Bags In No Time

Valentine’s Day is Monday. To moms, this means pink and red paper hearts, glitter, class valentines and cupcakes—not champagne, Victoria’s Secret and candlelight dinner. But hey, that can change this year!

The Tidewater Inn in Madison has all the fixings to make your Valentine’s Day for you—after you’ve frosted two dozen cupcakes for your second-grader’s class, that is. The inn offers packages, complete with roses and chocolate-covered strawberries, to make this a memorable, and more importantly, peaceful, Valentine’s Day. Because, let’s face it, a candlelight dinner at home just isn’t as romantic when your plates of food sit atop plastic Power Ranger placemats.

Weekend Valentine’s packages at the begin at $465, mid-week at $415. The inn asks that you reserve your Valentine package three days in advance. So get grandma or the kids’ favorite sitter on the phone now—it’s time to make some plans!

We know you’re moms—busy moms with carpools, ballet class, dentist appointments and other things filling up those squares on your dry erase boards—so take advantage of the Tidewater’s Valentine’s gift certificates! Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Tidewater whenever you’d like. So here’s the deal—find an empty square on that calendar, make a reservation and take that square (or two, or three) for you. All for you. And your Valentine, too, if he’s lucky.
