We know. It’s been a long week and you’re exhausted. Chinese takeout and your comfiest PJs are sounding pretty good right now. But don’t give up just yet. It’s only Thursday, and there’s lots of fun stuff going on beyond your living room couch this weekend. Check out our picks.

1. 15TH-ANNUAL GUILFORD SAVINGS BANK CHILI-FEST

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. in Old Saybrook on Main Street and Boston Post Road.

WHY GO: Lots and lots of chili.

PRICING: Vote for your favorite. Ballots are $10 each.

2. 

WHERE/WHEN: Congregational First Church of Christ in Clinton on Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

WHY GO: Boy Scout Troop 7 wants to feed you! Proceeds from the dinner benefit the troop and their efforts to include others in the scouting world.

PRICING: Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids under 12.

3. 

WHERE/WHEN: Shows at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at The Country School in Madison.

WHY GO: Shiver me timbers! These kids are going put on their best pirate show, so you’d better be there.

PRICING: Tickets are $5 each.

4. CHRISTINE OHLMAN AND REBEL MONTEZ WITH SPECIAL GUESTS THE SPIN SISTERS

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday at 8 p.m. at The Kate in Old Saybrook.

WHY GO: She’ll have the whole place rockin’ like you won’t believe.

PRICING: Tickets are $24 and $27.

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday at the Henry Carter Hull Library in Clinton at 3 p.m.

WHY GO: Local artist Kathleen Miska will perform material from her debut album “Click Clack.” Julie Kay will accompany on cello.
