Because It's No Fun To Stay Home All Weekend

Feeling like the summer just flew by? Clinging to those flip flops and suntan lotion? Cringing when you see commercials for football season? Yeah, we know the feeling. So let’s make the most of these dog days of summer and fit as much summery goodness into this weekend as possible. Check out our picks for the weekend!

1. SINGER-SONGWRITER & FOOD TRUCK SERIES

WHERE/WHEN: Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Chamard Vineyards in Clinton.

WHY GO: Music from Phil Rosenthal and the Caseus Cheese Truck. Double win!

PRICING: Admission is $10 which includes a glass of wine.

2. CHESTER FAIR

WHERE/WHEN: Friday from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Chester Fairgrounds on Kirtland Terrace.

WHY GO: Tons of live entertainment, livestock, rides and fair fun!

PRICING: Admission is $8 for adults and kids 12 and under are free. On Saturday and Sunday only, seniors pay only $6 admission. Three days passes are $21 each. Parking is free. Ride wristbands available Saturday and Sunday.

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday on the Madison Town Green from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHY GO: Enjoy strolling through the antique booths and four booth chats from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

PRICING: Admission is $7. Kids under 13 are free.
