Get Out: Five Great Things To Do This Weekend

It’s sweet, sweet summertime, people. Think back to that icy cold, messy winter—snow banks, shoveling, chattering teeth—and start taking advantage of the warm, sunny weather. We’ve taken the liberty of planning out your weekend, and sadly there just isn’t any time for laziness. That’s right, we’re telling you to get out and make the most of your weekend. Here’s what we have planned:

1. 

WHERE/WHEN: Thursday through Sunday on the Guilford town green. Open from 12 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

WHY GO: The hand-craft fair is one of the town’s favorite events on the green! Don’t miss it.

PRICING: Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for members and free for children under 12.

2. 

WHERE/WHEN: Shows are at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at Andrews Memorial Town Hall in Clinton.

WHY GO: Relax after a day in the hot sun with some fantastic local theater!

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Clinton Town Beach.

WHY GO: Free games, events and prizes for Clinton families and their children? That’s why you should go!

PRICING: Free.

4. 

WHERE/WHEN: Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Stonington Vineyards.

WHY GO: Enjoy an afternoon of food, wine and live music and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

PRICING: Admission is $12 per person over 21, which includes a Stonington Vineyards logo glass for wine tastings.

5. 

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.

WHY GO: Wrap up the weekend with the Larry Stevens Band! Don’t forget your blankets and chairs.
