Fire In The Kitchen About To Kick Off

Concert and workshop series that allows amateur musicians to learn from most gifted players in the world, and allows the rest of us to enjoy some darn good music, starts September 14.

By Charlie Shafer:

Fire In The Kitchen has set its fall concert and workshop schedule, and it's loaded with unbelievable opportunities for  music lovers and stringed instrument players.

The workshops enable amateur musicians to learn from some of the most gifted players in the world, and they're always FREE.

It all starts with Christian Howes, Downbeat Magazine poll winner on September 14 with both a concert and free workshop.

The workshop is at 3:00 PM. On Friday, September 27, the world's most innovative cellist, Rushad Eggleston, gives a workshop and concert, and On Saturday, October 5, it's Brittany Haas and her trio.

Britt is perhaps the leading fiddler of the young generation, able to play classical, jazz improvisation, and soulful old-time. Learning from her and her band is a pretty unique opportunity!

November brings Matuto, and amazing band that blends Appalachian and Brazilian tunes and rhythms. Visit http://fireinthekitchen.org for all the information on times and concert pricing, but, like I said, the workshops are always free!
