Bluegrass & Ukulele Coming To Clinton Historical Society

Mark Your Calendars Now For The Saturday, Oct. 1 Concert

A message from the Clinton Historical Society:

Local musicians Liz and Jim Beloff and Paul Neri and the band Ragweed will bring their unique blend of ukulele and bluegrass tunes to the Clinton Historical Society (CHS) on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Jim and Liz regularly perform together at "uke-centric" events in the U.S. as well as on tours in Japan and Australia. Their most recent CD, "Rare Air," features a number of Jim's original songs.

Jim and Liz Beloff's company, Flea Market Music, publishes the popular Jumpin' Jim's series of ukulele songbooks. The series is sold worldwide and includes The Daily Ukulele: 365 Songs For Better Living, the largest ukulele songbook ever published.

The Bluegrass band Ragweed will also perform during the evening bringing their instrumental and vocal talents to CHS. Ragweed has performed at numerous venues along the shoreline and throughout Connecticut playing at the KATE in Old Saybrook this past year.

Paul Neri and Ragweed have donated their time and talent to numerous fundraising events throughout the state and CHS is pleased to have them back for a repeat performance.

This first of it's kind, intimate concert will be held inside Old Brick, the 1750 home of the Clinton Historical Society located at 103 E. Main Street in Clinton.

Home baked desserts, coffee and tea will be served during intermission. BYOB and snacks if you like.

Tickets are $18.00 per person and reservations may be made by contacting Claudia at (860) 669-7814. Seating is limited. Early reservations are encouraged.
