You Can 'Cycle Against Cancer'

Shoreline Fitness of Clinton is sponsoring an indoor fundraising spinning event that helps cancer patients and their families in town and in the state.

 

The Connecticut Sports Foundation’s (CSF) "Cycle Against Cancer" indoor spinning event will take place at Shoreline Fitness in Clinton on Saturday, March 2 from 9am to 5pm. 

The spin portion of the event will take place in two sessions: 9am – 12pm and 1pm - 4pm.  Each team will be provided one spin bike and will strive to raise a minimum of $1,000. Each team will decide who will spin for the designated amount of time during the 3-hour session.

The event will conclude with a celebration that will include food and fun! Each team/participant will register and have their own fundraising page and website that they can customize and send out to all of their contacts, colleagues, friends, etc.  There is no limit to the number of people you can have on your team!

Last year, this event raised more than $60,000! Due to this generosity, the CSF was able to help a three year old cancer patient from Clinton, along with other patients across the state.

Payton, a one year old patient from East Haven battling a rare form of cancer will receive a CSF grant with the funds raised from this event, along with other Connecticut cancer patients.

CSF was founded 25 years ago and provides financial support to cancer patients and their families.  All dollars raised stay within the State of Connecticut. Supporting this event helps cancer patients and their families alleviate some of the everyday costs incurred when a family members is going through treatment.
