You Can Be Part Of History And Help Choose The Color Of This House

Should it be white, light yellow or gray? You can help choose the winning color by taking part in our poll.

If you have driven or walked down East Main Street in the last six months (and who hasn't) you have witnessed the renovation and transformation of a large antique home just a few doors down from next to the .

It is called the "Milestone House" and is located at 68 East Main. According to the owners, it has remained in the same family since it was built in 1730.

The current owners are doing a complete renovation and using all of the original wood from the floors and walls in the renovation.

Recently, a representative and friend of the owners contacted the Clinton Patch and proposed that through a poll on our site, they could ask the community what color paint (from a choice of three) they'd choose for the exterior of the house.

The three color options are: White, Light Yellow or Cape Cod Gray

Take our poll and let your voice be heard!

I have mixed emotions about how this was handled originally. For those that don't remember, it wasRead More basically a secret deal, avoiding proper process. Anyway let's hope it ends well. Finally some economic development. On a technical note I believe the town still owns the Nod Road property with the developer getting a lease for $1 based on meeting certain conditions. I also believe that it was "sold" to residents with the assertion that the developer would remediate the pollution or abandon the property back to the town. Now we find the taxpayer will pay for remediation.
