Tickets to "The Launch" Are Sold Out

Admission to Clinton's premier party and major kick-off to a year-long series of events celebrating it's 350th birthday sold fast!

If you have your tickets in hand for The Launch, then you can breathe a sigh of relief as they are sold out.

The Launch is the kick-off party celebrating the town's 350th anniversary which takes place in 2013. The February 2 event is a night of music, dancing and catered food at the recently-renovated William Stanton Andrews Memorial Town Hall.

John Allen, a member of the 350th Celebration Committee, confirmed that 200 tickets (the maximum amount allowed) have been sold.

"We were hoping to sell 150, but blew right through that to the max of 200," said Allen.

For those wanting a ticket, there is a wait list. Allen says if someone cancels, they will try to get tickets for those on a wait list.

The event has been a much-anticipated celebration to those in town.

Resident Jane Scully Welch said she's sorry it's sold out to those who wanted to attend.

"We are thrilled..yet sorry it is sold out. But we promise a grand time to all who have tickets and in December we will have a closing gala that all can attend," said Welch.

She said The Launch is the town's way of "getting this Clinton party started."

Contact the 350th Committee if you'd like to be on the wait list. There's still plenty of etched Clinton 350 commemorative wine glasses, stemless wine, or pub glasses. The cost is 4 for $35.  They are available at the Clinton 350th headquarters at 30 East Main Street. For more information, go to info@clinton350.org.
