Here's the Schedule of Events for Christmas in Clinton

Believe it or not, it's that time of year again. Christmas in Clinton takes place Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 2pm - 5pm.

 

A message from the Clinton Chamber of Commerce:

The Clinton Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with several civic organizations and individuals, will host the 17th annual Christmas in Clinton on Sunday, December 2.  Most activities run continuosly from 2pm to 5pm in downtown Clinton, centered around Post Office Square and Main Street. See below for a handy chart and schedule of the events.

A variety of free events are planned for kids and adults. 

For the kids, some of the many activities include an Electric Train Exhibit at the Pierson School lawn, a Santa's Workshop at the 1630 House, Face Painting at the Holy Advent Church, and a special exhibit from Meig's Point Nature Center in front of the Pierson School, co-sponsored by UBS Financial Services and Clinton Insurance Center.

There will be a soup cook-off at Malone’s Coffee House, 10 West Main Street.

Several area churches will be participating.  First Church of Christ Congregational will be open hosting the Gingerbread House Contest and a Living Nativity. Church of the Holy Advent will host Face Painting along with an Open House including hospitality and music.  Church of the Open Door will have popcorn, music and hospitality. 

The Lions Club will light luminaries along Main Street. Clinton Historical Society (Old Brick) will be open from 3pm to 6pm as will the Stanton House.

The Clinton Chamber of Commerce will be open for hospitality and refreshments. In the Chamber’s conference room, the Pretty Committee will host ornament decorating for children.

The Coffee Break on East Main Street will be open for hospitality and visits with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Andrews Memorial Town Hall will be open for many activities including a Craft Fair sponsored by Shoreline Community Women, a Tree and Wreath Sale sponsored by the Clinton Arbor Garden Club, and the 4:45pm Tree Lighting and Community Sing-A-Long with a visit by Santa.

At 4pm, there is a Holiday Dinner sponsored and held at the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department.
