Power has been restored to Clinton and Westbrook CL&P customers.
According to Clinton Police, an early morning downed wire on a CL&P utility pole knocked out power to customers in the Old Post Road/Rt. 145 area.
Police said the wire caused a small brush fire that was quickly put out.

Crews from the embattled utility company were on scene just after dawn awaiting a "line crew to re-energize” the system. As of 10:30 this morning the power was still out for 130 Clinton CL&P customers and 429 houses in Westbrook too were without power.
