Accomplishments:  Jessie has donated the money she made ($19.27) from running a lemonade stand to the Clinton-based non-profit called Families Helping Families.  She has helped her mother, Dawn Hittle, treasurer of Families Helping Families, at the Apple Pie Contest and Festival fundraiser for the organization.

Jessie's mother says JJ has helped with the set-up and clean-up of the event.

Not only does JJ raise money for the organization, she brings music to the event.

"For the past two years she has been part of the entertainment," says Dawn. "She has sung while her dad plays guitar and sings the back-up."

Charity must be in JJ's blood.

"When JJ's school class needs to choose a charity for their 100 Days of School celebration, she always suggests Families Helping Families," adds her mother.

Extra curricular activities include singing and writing songs with her dad, dancing, soccer, piano and acting in plays with the Kidz Konnection of Clinton.  The current play they are working on is The Little Mermaid.

Key to Awesomeness:  JJ says she has two reasons that helping with Families Helping Families is important to her... 1) Her Mom works for them and she thought it would be nice to do something and 2) she just likes helping other people.  She says her favorite part of helping is when people tell her she's done a good job.
