Key to Awesomeness: I do it because I enjoy all of it, and find it a lot of fun.  I want to help the community that has provided for me, and I do that with the BOE taping and as a member of Troop 7.  I play High School Bowl because it’s all about random facts, and I know a lot of random facts.

Editor's note: Austin was the first student contributing writer to the Clinton Patch. He wrote a sports story which was published in December, 2010, about the Morgan girls basketball team and their win against North Branford. He interviewed Morgan Coach Joseph Grippo and took his photo for the article.

Here's an exerpt of Austin's article: "For the first game of the season, things got very heated in the stands and on the bench as the Morgan Girls triumphed, with the Girls coach, Coach Joseph Grippo, shouting from the sidelines, as well as students cheering from the stands.

Asked about the future, Grippo knows that it will be challenging, stating that “I’m sure we’ll be tested a lot more than we were last night...but...if we continue to improve and play the way we played last night then things will be good.”

Looking ahead as to how the team could improve, self-claimed perfectionist Grippo replied, “I’m really happy with the way we played and I don’t think we could have done much better than what we did last night.""
