Nod Road Reconstruction Project Begins
Prepare for delays and periodic, but brief, closures on this road for about three to four weeks.
A message from the town's Public Works Department:
The Nod Road Reconstruction Project has started. The work scheduled for this spring includes drainage, removal of some trees, reclaiming the asphalt and installing a new paved surface. The first part of the project involves line of site clearing and drainage work. The second part involves the reclaiming of the pavement and installing a new road.
We do not anticipate that the road will be closed for any length of time but that is not to say there may be periodic brief closures while doing some of the work.
We do anticipate that there will be delays in the area due to partial lane closures so we are advising everyone to avoid the area if possible.
The scope of the work will be all of Nod Road from North High Street to Nod Place. The duration will be about three to four weeks depending upon the paving contractor.
