Nod Road Project Picks Up Again

Later this week or the beginning of next week, Public Works anticipates that the process of reclaiming the road will begin and during that process, traffic will be limited to alternating one way and the road will be rough.

A message from the Public Works Department:

The Nod Road project is once again starting to move along. This week the edges of the roadway were cleaned to remove accumulated dirt and debris. The stakes alongside the road represent measurements used to guide the construction and paving crews when installing the new road.   Catch basins are being replaced and/or raised to accommodate the new road surface.

Towards the end of this week or at the beginning of next week the process of reclaiming the road will begin. This involves pulverizing the existing pavement and using the resulting materials to grade the road and eliminate old drainage issues and puddles. Once this process is complete a new asphalt road will be installed. During this entire process traffic will be limited to alternating one way and the road will be fairly rough.

We are suggesting that you may want to use the previous DETOUR routes if you are simply using the road to go through the area.  For those of you who live in the area we will apologize in advance for the inconvenience. As always, if you have any concerns please feel free to email me.
