The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Clinton area. It is in effect until 8 PM tonight.
According to the NWS, everyone should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check on relatives and neighbors.
"Anyone overcome by hear should be moved to a cool and shaded location," they say on their website. "Heat stroke is an emergency, call 911."
