Clinton's Annual Memorial Day Parade Is Monday

Parade steps off at 11 AM at Post Office Square; earlier memorial observances.

Here's the schedule of memorial observances and activities (not all activities are included):

Ceremonies at Cemeteries-
8:55 AM Beaverbrook Cemetery, Route 145
9:15 AM Clinton Police Department
9:30 AM Catholic Cemetery, Beach Park Road

10 AM War Monument: Placing of wreaths by First Selectman, VFW Commander and American Legion Commander

10:10 AM Indian River Cemetery: Ceremonies at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, reading of "I Walked Among the Gravestones," Placing of wreaths by First Selectman, VFW Commander and American Legion Commander, prayer by Reverend Steven Hosking, firing of volleys by American Legion Firing Squad

10:30 AM March to Indian River Bridge: Honor the Clinton Fire and Police Departments and those of all services lost at sea

10:50 AM Formation of Main Parade: Post Office Square and Parking lots.

11 AM Parade steps off: Welcome by MC, bugle call to colors, raising of the flag followed by National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, Welcoming address by First Selectman, Moment of Silence, Firing of Volleys
