Poet Pat Barone of Clinton will read at Edwina Trentham's eighth annual summer poetry workshop, "A Perpetual Possibility," on Sunday, July 28 at Fresh Ayer Gallery and Gifts.

The following is a press release from the Fresh Ayer Gallery:

Poets from Edwina Trentham’s eighth annual summer poetry workshop, “A Perpetual Possibility,” will read their work on Sunday, July 28, 2013, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Fresh Ayer Gallery and Gifts, in The Old Lyme Shopping Center at 19 Halls Road in Old Lyme.

Fresh Ayer Gallery owner, Jan Ayer, who trained as a sculptor at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts and also as a makeup artist for Estée Lauder, has skillfully combined her artistic and managerial gifts to create an imaginative and engaging space for painters and sculptors to display their work, with the additional goal of furthering understanding and appreciation of the arts in the community.

The current exhibition features work by the Odyssey Painters.  The gallery also offers a wide variety of art for sale, including watercolors, oils, pottery, hand-made jewelry, and quilt hangings, as well as an imaginative selection of gift items.

Poets reading on Sunday include Carol Altieri from Madison, Pat Barone from Clinton, Barbara Batt, Pat O’Brien, and Mary Volk from Old Saybrook, Gwen Gunn from Guilford, Janet Greenberg from New Haven, Sherry Horton from Unionville, Betsy Kudlacz from Groton,  Elizabeth Possidente from Branford, Lauren Rhines from Stafford Springs, and Edwina Trentham from East Haddam.  Refreshments will be served, and the reading is free and open to the public.  Copies of the poets’ books will be on sale.
