Celebrate CT Trails Day in Clinton this Saturday

On Saturday, June 1, Clinton will celebrate CT Trails Weekend with a 2-mile hike through Peters Memorial Woods sponsored by the Clinton Land Conservation Trust.

This weekend, June 1 and 2, Connecticut Trails Day Weekend will take place throughout the state as part of a nationwide effort. In Clinton, on June 1 at 10 AM, Clinton Land Conservation Trust will sponsor a 2-mile hike through Peters Memorial Woods, one of the many CLCT properties.

CLCT President, Mike Houde, will lead the hike that will "traverse almost all of the trails at this beautiful land trust property," according to the event's booklet. The booklet goes on to say the hike "will pass by rock formations, over streams, and through old mountain laurel stands."

Participants are asked to bring water and meet at the parking lot of Peters Memorial Woods on Valley Road. The event will take place rain or shine and pre-registration is not necessary. Leashed dogs are permitted.
