Honoring Morgan's Veterans

Looking to compile a list of the names of all Morgan graduates who have served.

I recently came upon the graduation programs for The Morgan School Classes of 1944 and 1945.  Both years highlighted the names of those who were serving in the Armed Forces of the United States.  During those war years many of the young students of Morgan left school early or went immediately from graduation to serve their country.  There were 27 graduates both years with the names of 10 of them noted as in the service.  Those names were:

Class of 1944:  Morris Austin, Donald Foerch, Richard Funk, Edward Haunfelner, Warren Richards, Jr., William Scheld, William Schrempp, Donald Shubert, Daniel Vece, Jr., and William Voelkel.

Class of 1945:  Robert Bell, Robert Beringer, Ernest Burnham, Salvatore DiBella, Thomas Gladwin, Fred Griswold, Irving Schubert, George Stannard, Thomas Wallace, Leslie Walton.

I would like to compile a list of the names of all Morgan graduates who have served in the military, whether in war or peace time, so that, as a community, we might recognize them and honor them. The current students of not just Morgan but all the schools in Clinton should be made aware of the commitment and sacrifices these people made for them.  If you are a graduate of Morgan and are a veteran or if you know of any graduate who has served please forward that information to me.  This is a project well worth pursuing and I appreciate Clinton's help in making this happen.

Thank you Morgan veterans. Thank you ALL veterans. We salute you.
