Tag Sale, Food Drive and Free Family Fun Day at Connecticut Water on May 3rd

Connecticut Water Company is pleased to announce that its employees will be holding a Tag Sale, Food Drive and Free Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Company’s office at 93 West Main Street in Clinton.

 

The tag sale will feature household items, office equipment and electronics. A portion of Employee sales will support a local charity – as well as all of the proceeds from office equipment and electronics donated by Connecticut Water.

The Family Fun Day is free. Connecticut Water construction trucks will be available for a ‘Touch a Truck’ event. In addition, there will be a bounce house for the kids, and a fire hydrant that has been cut in half so people can see how it works. Other fun activities are planned as well.

Employees will also be collecting canned or other non-perishable food for distribution through local social service agencies to persons in need. Employee organizers encourage everyone who stops by to bring a non-perishable food item with them.

 

Maureen P. Westbrook, Connecticut Water’s Vice President – Customer and Regulatory Affairs states, “Our employees are volunteering their time to organize the event as a way to give back to the community and help those facing economic challenges.”   Ms. Westbrook says the tag sale and Family Fun Day was the idea of Connecticut Water employees.
