Shoreline Sailing Club cancels May 1 meeting, hosts Open House May 15 for prospective members

The Shoreline Sailing Club is hosting an Open House Thursday, May 15 from 7:30 to 11 p.m. for anyone who is single, age 35 or over, and interested in sailing.

Light bites and a cash bar will be available during the event, being held at the Westbrook Elks Lodge, 142 Seaside Ave., Westbrook.

The lodge is where regular meetings of the club, geared for singles age 35 and over, are held year-round on the first and third Thursdays of each month starting at 7:30 p.m.

There will be no meeting on May 1; a make-up meeting will be held May 29.

Club members enjoy sails on Long Island Sound, other water sports such as kayaking, and a variety of social and recreational activities.
