Community Corner

Sacred Space Program

This Sunday, Feb. 9 from 9:30 to 11:30 am, Rabbi Offner, Cantor Dorothy Goldberg and fellow congregant and gerontologist Donna Fedus form a compassionate and knowledgeable panel on the topic of ‘Creating Sacred Space and Peace of Mind for the End of Life’.  Moderated by Jewish Federation CEO, Sydney Perry, this important discussion concentrates on sacred and secular perspectives about death and dying. Donna Fedus will begin by offering practical guidance and tools for addressing death. Attendees will learn about end of life rituals from Cantor Goldberg and Rabbi Offner. Together they will create peace of mind for end of life options. A Q & A will complete the session. We look forward to adding the wisdom of owner and President of Robert E. Shure. Inc. funeral home, James M. Shure during the Q & A portion.  FREE and Open to the Community through a grant funded by the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven’s 'Women of Vision' society and a generous donation from Jimmy Shure’s Educational fund.
