REP. TOM VICINO WELCOMES STATE FUNDS FOR

State Representatives Tom Vicino (D-Clinton Killingworth, Westbrook) welcomed the approval of state funds for the Opera Theater of Connecticut in Clinton.

 

“We have one of the finest performing arts group here in Clinton and I am thrilled that these grants will assist in our mission of keeping the arts alive,” said Vicino. “I am pleased that the Department of Economic & Community Development’s CT Office of the Arts, has recognized this worthy organization with nearly $4,000 of support.”

The $3,847.47 for the Opera Theater of Connecticut was announced on November 25th as a part of the Arts Catalyze Placemaking grant program in the categories of Arts Leadership and Supporting Arts in Place.  These programs are funded in part by state appropriations the National Endowment for the Arts.  A total of 93 grants were awarded statewide.
