Jacq B Nimble, Jacq B Quick Teams Up With CLINTON’S Ceniccola’s To Host First Ever Hog Wild Pig Roast

CLINTON, Conn. – Jacq may be nimble, and she may be quick but Thompson’s Jacqueline “Jacq” Sembor is ditching the jump to, instead, run with the candle stick! Determined to make a difference, Sembor, and her Run MS fundraising team, Jacq B Nimble, Jacq B Quick, is partnering with Clinton’s Ceniccola’s Italian Deli and Pizzeria to host the first-ever Jacq B Nimble, Jacq B Quick Hog Wild Pig Roast.

Sembor, who grew up in Thompson, recently signed on as a communications specialist with the National MS Society. She is no stranger to the effects of multiple sclerosis, a potentially debilitating disease. In fact, this isn’t her first attempt at fundraising. Sembor’s aunt has been living with MS for more than 20 years. As teen, Sembor organized a Walk MS fundraising team in honor of her aunt’s battle with the illness.

Today, Sembor is forming a Run MS team, comprised of co-workers, family and friends. The Halloween-themed run, hosted by the National MS Society, takes place Saturday, Oct. 26, at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. Sembor’s team will don costumes reminiscent of nursery rhyme favorites. Each team member will do his or her best to raise funds to support the team and its mission to help fund a cure. To boost their fundraising, the team will host a pig roast with all the fixin’s.

“We’re very excited to team up with Bruno Ceniccola to put on our very first benefit pig roast,” said Sembor, who is looking for additional sponsors. “Our family friendly pig roast will include drawings for prizes, live music and much more.”

The first-ever Jacq B Nimble, Jacq B Quick Hog Wild Pig Roast, presented by Cennicola’s, will take place at Ceniccola’s  in Clinton on Sunday, Sept. 22, from noon to 4 p.m. The first 100 ticket holders will receive a commemorative tee, compliments of Powers Ink, located in Branford. Lunch includes pulled pork, hamburgers and hot dogs, plenty of fixin’s and beverages, including beer and wine. Festivities feature live music, a bounce house for children, drawings for prizes, including four reserve tickets to a 2014 New Britain Rock Cats home game and a gift certificate from Alise’s Mobile Spa, and much more. Proceeds benefit the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter.
