A Big "THANK YOU!" To the People of Clinton!

A really big "THANK YOU!" to the people of Clinton for another great "Cast A Vote Against Hunger" Food Drive! "Cast A Vote Against Hunger" was inspired by our daughter, Sarah, when her 4th grade teacher, Marci Frazer, then at Pierson School asked students to bring in a can of food to donate to the pantry as a way to cast their vote for a mock election.

With the support, involvement and enthusiasm of the then First Selectman, Jim McCusker, Ann Schmidt of Social Services, Public Works Dept. Volunteers, and all those that been involved since the beginning, "Cast A Vote Against Hunger" has assisted thousands of Clinton families for the past 17 years while becoming a town tradition. The continued compassion and generosity of Clinton residents has demonstrated time and again why Clinton is not only a great town to live in, but also a great community to be part of. No matter who was running for office, Clintonians have always cast a vote against hunger with generous food and monetary donations to help their neighbors.

It is not grand structures that make a community great and strong, but the simple acts of kindness by it's people and we are Clinton Strong.

Thank you Clinton!
