Send In Your Questions for the Local State Rep & State Senate Debate

The Morgan Political Club is sponsoring a debate among the candidates for state representative in the 35th district and state senator in the 33rd district on Oct. 24.

 

If you have been following the two presidential debates and the vice presidential debate, there's another debate on the horizon that you not only can send in your questions to the candidates ahead of time, you can attend.

This debate is organized, hosted and moderated by The Morgan School Political Club and will feature the two candidates for state representative in the 35th House District and the three candidates for state senator in the 33rd district.

For State Representative:

John Samperi (R)

Tom Vicino (D)

 

For State Senator:

Jim Crawford (D)

Art Linares (R)

Melissa Schlag (Green Party)

 

The 35th district covers the towns of Clinton, Killingworth and Westbrook.  The 33rd senate district covers the towns of Chester, Clinton, Colchester, Deep River, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland and Westbrook.

The debate will be held in the Gagnon Auditorium at The Morgan School on Wednesday, October 24.  The debate between the two state representative candidates begin at 6:30pm; the debate between the three state senate candidates will begin at 7:30pm.

Prior to the debate, members of the Political Club are asking the public to submit their questions to the candidate(s).

Feel free to submit your question(s) to a specific candidate or race by adding the question to our "comments" section at the end of this article.  All questions will be forwarded to the Political Club for their review.
