She held a large fundraiser attended by many Polish Americans to benefit the newly dedicated exhibit at the New England Air Museum recognizing the Kociuszko Squadron Exhibit. Her life is always full of activity on the town and state level, along with devotion to her large family.

Her reputation as an excellent State Commissioner for the elderly grew from her dedication to programs and good policies for the thousands of Connecticut's elderly citizens. She was in state service on the Environmental Committee, working for the State Senate, and is presently on the State Commission on Aging. Her commitment to the people of her district shows in the numerous celebrations at her home, honoring well-known individuals and friends.  Her competency and knowledge of government is unchallenged.

Mary Ellen's helping hand, efficiency, and friendly manner have earned the respect of all who have had the pleasure of knowing and working with her throughout the years. I was fortunate as Consumer Protection Commissioner to work with her while in government on a number of projects and programs benefitting senior citizens.

Sincerely,

Mary Mazurek Heslin
Former Commissioner of Consumer Protection
Hartford

Editor's note: Mary Ellen Klinck is a candidate for the 33rd State Senate District Democratic Primary.
