Clinton Boy Scouts On An Appalachian Trail Quest

Hoping to earn their "End to End" patch for the 53-mile Connecticut portion of the trail

Five Boy Scouts from Troop 7 in Clinton recently spent a weekend hiking portions of the Appalachian Trail in the northeast corner of the State.

The boys made camp at Housatonic Meadows State Park and managed to hike two of the seven sections of the Appalachian Trail that runs through the State of Connecticut.

Their goal is to hike all seven sections in Connecticut in an effort to earn their "End to End" patch for the Connecticut portion of the Appalachian Trail which is roughly 53 miles long.
